It’s really hard to explain what pastthehorizion means, it’s something that has significant meaning to me, and reminds me of what I’ve been through, and what’s to come

Can I go home yet? This place is slowly killing me. I don’t regret my decision, but I just can’t stand being so far away from my family and friends. I’m trying so hard to keep my chin up, but it’s just so hard when all you’ve known is you’re mom and the rest of your family in a small town over 2000 miles away. It doesn’t help that ‘Fly Over States’ by Jason Aldean is the only song I’ve been listening to for the past two days. I just want to break down and drink my sorrows away, but I know they’ll just pop back up again tomorrow and for the rest of my time in the military.
